Kamu is an international provider of early education and daycare services in both Finnish and English languages. We have a fresh approach that emphasizes collaboration. Kamu, which means "friend" or "buddy" in Finnish, aims to be just that for you! Our mission is to improve child learning and family well-being.

At Kamu, our goal is to awaken a child's innate curiosity and foster a love for learning. We also strive to instill self-confidence, which serves as a foundation for further growth. Our teaching approach focuses on supporting a child's strengths, nurturing creativity, problem-solving abilities, and social skills. Ultimately, we aim to develop the capabilities necessary for children to embrace future opportunities.

Additionally, our pedagogy includes a nature-focused approach, allowing children to explore and engage with the natural world. We believe in hands-on learning experiences, where children can get their hands dirty. We also provide English language immersion to facilitate language development. Through these methods, we promote children's learning and enhance family well-being.

Kamu daycare is a nature-oriented, communal, and supportive function for the entire family. While the operating language of Kamu daycare is Finnish, we also incorporate English in our daily activities using our "English shower" method. If a child's mother tongue is not Finnish, we provide strong support for learning the Finnish language.

Our daycare accommodates up to 40 children aged 1-5 years old (We will offer a fully English language pre-school education program starting in August 2024). They are cared for by three early education teachers, four practical nurses, and one daycare assistant.

Our well-resourced environment ensures that we always have sufficient time for high-quality early childhood education and to support families in maintaining a balanced and smooth everyday life. Our home-like daycare offers a stress-free setting where children can develop future skills through natural curiosity, creativity, and bold experimentation.

Kamukoti Arabia is a nature-oriented, bilingual daycare that focuses on strength pedagogy. It is located in the tranquil natural surroundings of Toukola, Helsinki. This strategic location gives us a significant advantage in our pedagogical approach. We frequently engage in outdoor activities, nature-based learning, day trips, urban farming, and fostering a positive relationship with nature.

Both Finnish and English languages are used in our daily communication and activities, incorporating games, songs, rhymes, stories, role play, and physical activities.

We place a strong emphasis on strength pedagogy, wonder-based learning, art and craft, and children's active participation. These elements contribute to building essential future skills in children, such as self-initiative in learning, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, creativity, empathy, and social skills.
